Anthony Hitt, the CEO of Engel & Völkers Americas, thinks this trend will continue. He said Indianapolis, Kansas City, Portland (ME), Phoenix, and Spokane are next to see 10%+ growth. When it comes to home-price appreciation, small and mid-size cities are having their moment. According to data from the National Association of Realtors, the 10 US cities that have seen the highest appreciation rates over the last year are all relatively small markets. Here they are, along with how much they've appreciated year-over-year:All of them posted double-digit appreciation from the end of Q2 2022 to the end of Q2 2023.
